The 2016 Christmas Show!

Giant Advent Calendar!

Fourth grade created a giant Advent Calendar! We created scenes of Mary and Joseph traveling to Bethlehem, the three Wise Men seeing the star, King Herod, the Shepard's, and the Nativity! Each scene was created in a shoe box and had a prayer. They really shoe the Christmas spirit! Beautiful!

Field Trip to see "Mary Poppins" at the Olney Theater!

We got to interview the cast and take a tour of the stage! 

Happy St. Nicholas Day! 

We learned about the patron saint of children- St. Nicholas. Students created drawings of this saint and wrote about his life. 

"Class President" Projects!

Students read the story "Class President" bu Joanna Hurwitz- the story is based on a class election in an elementary school. After reading the book, students had write a campaign speech for a class "election". They also had to create a campaign poster and slogan. They made some compelling arguments and promises to make our classroom even better! Great job!
