Extreme Weather Presentations

Students broke into small groups- and created presentations about four types of extreme weather. They also explained safety procedures you should follow during these types of weather systems.

Students learned about the land forms in Maryland. They created the Appalachian, Piedmont Plateau, and Atlantic Coastal Plain.  Students also identified and located major cities, including Washington DC, Baltimore, Annapolis, and Rockville. 

"Macaroni" Saint Quotes- all about Love for Valentine's Day! 

Students used their cursive handwriting to write quotes from various saints- all quotes about "LOVE". We are learning about quotation marks in grammar. Students use macaroni noodles for the quotation marks.

International Day Projects for Fourth Grade: Ireland!

Students created Celtic Drums, St. Patrick drawings, Celtic drop cap letters  (to look like the Book of Kells), Irish flags, Irish folk tales, and St. Brigid Crosses. 

International Day 2016!

St. Jude Celebrated diversity by having an International Day! Each class studied different countries all year. Students wore colors that represented the flag colors from the different countries. Each class sang songs and danced to music from the different countries. Parents volunteered by setting up tables to represent their cultures. Students got to taste foods and learn about the different cultures. Each student filed out a passport with stamps from all the nations. It was an amazing day and we all learned so much! Thank you to everyone who made this day possible!
