Maryland Land Forms in Topography Maps!

Students used salt dough to create topography maps of Maryland! Students showed the three different land forms (Appalachian, Piedmont, and Atlantic Coastal Plain). When the dough dried- students painted the land regions in art class. Finally- students used a legend to label the map with major cities. The maps look great!

Catholic Schools Week!
In honor of Catholic Schools week, our class re-created the coat of arms from Pope Francis! Students also learned a great prayer they can use to pray for the Pope and their families every day using their five fingers.

Class President Projects ( This post is very late- my apologies...)

Fourth graders read "Class President" by Johanna Hurwtiz. This is a story about a boy who runs for class president, and how he becomes a leader in his school. Students completed a literature packet, created a campaign speech, and a campaign poster. The results were great! We may have some future politicians in our class!
